Over the last year, Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) have become more visible in our world, with sightings on the increase and government, academia, and media taking notice as never before. This growing acceptance of a UAP presence, however, foregrounds just how little we understand about these enigmas, the alleged science and technology that make them possible, and what the United States and other governments may have learned about them over the years. We also are only beginning to anticipate the likelihood of a future in which UAP are taken for granted, with all the radical changes to our world and self-understanding that will bring.
